The Jacoby Brissett deal is no longer pending. Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the trade between the Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals is official.
Baltimore receives Brissett and a 2027 fifth-round pick. Arizona receives a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick. Rapoport added that the Cardinals are paying a little more than half of Brissett's remaining 2026 salary to complete the move. The NFL.com Friday roundup matched the pick package.
Why Baltimore moved now
The Ravens placed Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve earlier in the week, then watched Joe Fagnano start Thursday night in a 33-10 home loss to Jacksonville. Fagnano finished 10 of 18 for 60 yards with two interceptions. Baltimore is 4-5 after four straight defeats and has been held under 14 points in each of those games.

Brissett had dropped to third string in Arizona after Gardner Minshew took the starting job. The Cardinals get draft capital and salary relief. The Ravens get a veteran who can take the next start while Jackson and Huntley rehab. The earlier reporting that Baltimore was finalizing a Brissett deal is now a completed transaction with public pick terms.
