Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has a strained left hamstring and will miss time, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday. The Pacers and Haliburton are still putting together a timeline for his return.
The injury showed up first on the team's report. Indiana listed Haliburton as questionable for Wednesday night's home game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a left hamstring issue, alongside guard Andrew Nembhard (neck). Center Ivica Zubac (left ankle sprain) and T.J. McConnell (right hamstring) were already out.
Haliburton had been back for only four games. He tore his Achilles in the 2025 NBA Finals and missed 16 months, sitting out the entire 2025-26 season while the Pacers won 19 games, the fewest in franchise history. He played both ends of a back-to-back Sunday and Monday, and after Monday's game in Milwaukee he said he felt "a little beat up."

When he was on the floor, he looked like himself. Haliburton was averaging 21.8 points, 9.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 33 minutes a game, shooting 52% from the field.
Indianapolis reporter Alex Golden noted that Haliburton is the fourth Pacer to have a hamstring injury this season. McConnell has yet to play because of his, and Aaron Nesmith and Nance also missed time.
The list goes beyond hamstrings. Ben Sheppard tore his left meniscus and Johnny Furphy had surgery on his right ACL, so four of Indiana's five starters appeared on Wednesday's injury report.
Haliburton joins a run of stars hurt in the season's first week and a half. Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams needs surgery, Minnesota's Anthony Edwards has knee surgery Thursday and could miss up to two months, and Toronto's Kawhi Leonard is out weeks with swelling in his left knee.
What to watch: The Pacers host the 76ers at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday. The next update should come once team doctors settle on a timeline, and it will say whether this is a short absence or something longer.
