Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy won't play Saturday against Auburn after dislocating his shoulder in the Rebels' loss at Texas, coach Pete Golding said Monday.
"Obviously he's not going to play this week and then we're going to evaluate that moving forward what that looks like," Golding said, according to ESPN. "So, I know normally wouldn't tell you that, but there's no chance that we're going to try that at all this week."
Golding said the team is still getting MRIs and that this is a different injury from the shoulder problem that cost Lacy time earlier in the season. Reporters at the press conference said it is his left shoulder.

It has been a frustrating year for one of the best backs in the country. Lacy, a junior from Dallas, was an All-American last season after running for 1,567 yards and 24 touchdowns. This season he has 388 yards and five touchdowns.
Makhi Frazier, who has 301 rushing yards, likely moves to the top of the depth chart. Golding also said Shekai Mills-Knight, who has 42 rushing yards, will "have a real opportunity this week as well."
The timing is rough. The loss to Texas dropped Ole Miss to 5-2 and sent the Rebels down five spots to No. 12 in the AP poll. After Auburn comes to Oxford on Saturday, No. 3 Georgia visits on Nov. 7, the biggest game left on the Rebels' schedule.
What to watch: the MRI results and whatever Golding says next week about Georgia. If Lacy can't go on Nov. 7 either, Frazier's work against Auburn becomes the preview of how Ole Miss plans to run the ball against the Bulldogs.
