  • Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby will miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported Sunday, citing sources. Goosby got hurt in the first quarter of Saturday's 34-27 win over Ole Miss and was carted off the field.

  • It is a big loss for the No. 11 Longhorns. Goosby, a 6-foot-7, 325-pound senior from Melissa, Texas, has started 22 games over the past three seasons and was a first-team All-SEC pick by the league's coaches in 2025. He is projected as one of the top offensive tackles in the 2027 NFL draft, and Field Yates had him going eighth overall in his most recent ESPN mock.

He had already dealt with the same knee. Goosby suffered a bone bruise in his left knee in the middle of preseason camp in August, then came back to start Texas' first seven games.
