Baker Mayfield is active for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina on Sunday, playing with a dislocated thumb protected by a custom glove. Teams released their inactive lists about 90 minutes before the 1 p.m. ET games, and the Jets ruled out running back Breece Hall while the Titans ruled out receiver Calvin Ridley, according to ESPN and Adam Schefter.
ESPN called his return to practice this week a bit surprising. The Bucs (1-5) showed off the glove before the game, and Ian Rapoport reported it was built with help from the Tampa Bay Rays' training staff. Tampa Bay also has running back Bucky Irving back after he was limited in practice with an illness. Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (ribs) and right tackle Luke Goedeke (calf) are out, per ESPN's inactive list. The game against the Panthers (3-2) is on Fox.
The Jets (2-4) host the winless Dolphins (0-5) on CBS without Hall, who has a quad injury and was limited in practice Thursday and Friday. Braelon Allen, who has carried most of the load with Hall out, gets another start. Receiver Adonai Mitchell is active after a finger injury.

Ridley is out with a hip injury for the Titans (1-5), who also lose running back Tyjae Spears (knee) for their CBS game against Cleveland (4-2). That leaves more work for Tony Pollard. The Browns have both running backs available: Quinshon Judkins is active, and Dylan Sampson is up after coming off injured reserve.
Who's back
Houston receiver Tank Dell is active against the Giants on Fox, and Minnesota running back Jordan Mason returns from injured reserve for the unbeaten Vikings (5-0) against the Colts on CBS. ESPN expects Mason to split carries with Aaron Jones Sr.
In Atlanta, the 6-0 49ers have receiver Christian Kirk active for the first time this season after he spent training camp and the first six weeks on injured reserve with a calf injury. San Francisco ruled out Mike Evans (Achilles tendinitis), Nick Bosa (calf) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) on Friday, ESPN reported. Cornerback Upton Stout is also active.
Later Sunday
Inactives for the 4 p.m. games come out around 2:30 p.m. The Rams are optimistic Puka Nacua will play at Las Vegas despite a calf injury that kept him out of Friday's practice, Schefter reported, and ESPN said an MRI on the calf came back better than the team hoped. At halftime in Arizona, the Cardinals will put Larry Fitzgerald in their Ring of Honor and retire his No. 11.
