  • Tiger Woods is expected to play for Jupiter Links Golf Club when TGL opens its third season Dec. 27, barring another physical setback, sources told ESPN on Tuesday. Woods has not formally committed.

Jupiter Links will face Los Angeles Golf Club, a rematch of last season's finals, in the second match of an opening-day doubleheader on ABC. Brooks Koepka makes his TGL debut in the first match, with expansion team Motor City Golf Club against Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf.

  • Kevin Kisner, who played for Jupiter Links last season, said on the "Fore Play" podcast last week that Woods plans to play a full TGL schedule this season, according to ESPN.

  • Woods played one TGL match last season because of another back surgery, a 9-2 loss in the second match of the best-of-three finals that gave Los Angeles the SoFi Cup. He has not played competitively since. The 50-year-old had been aiming to return at the 2026 Masters before he was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a single-vehicle rollover crash on Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27. He pleaded no contest Sept. 2 to misdemeanor reckless driving and refusing a lawful test, and his driver's license was suspended for five years under the plea deal.

He has not played a PGA Tour event since missing the cut at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon. Still undecided: whether he plays the Hero World Challenge, which he hosts in the Bahamas Dec. 3-6, and whether he joins his son, Charlie, at the PNC Championship in Orlando Dec. 17-20, where he could use a cart.

The 2027 TGL schedule has 14 regular-season matches and a new play-in match for the fourth playoff spot, with the playoffs March 1-23. Every match airs on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. Teams carry five players this season, though each match still uses three per side. Motor City's roster also includes Jackson Koivun, Jake Knapp, Si Woo Kim and Bud Cauley.
