The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Clippers 108-101 on Sunday night to stay unbeaten, but they lost All-Star Jalen Williams to a left leg injury with 1:14 to play. Williams went down hard on a drive to the basket and left the court on a stretcher with towels covering his leg, according to the Associated Press.
Coach Mark Daigneault didn't offer a diagnosis after the game. "Those are tough, man. We're not doing great. That's tough on the guys," he told reporters, adding that Williams' injury "speaks for itself." He said the team would check on Wallace and Jaylin Williams on Monday morning and update their status then.
It was the third Thunder player hurt on the night. Guard Cason Wallace (left shoulder soreness) and forward Jaylin Williams (right wrist soreness) both left in the first quarter and didn't return.

On the court, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander carried Oklahoma City again. He scored 34 points on 13-of-26 shooting with six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Ajay Mitchell added 18 off the bench on 8-of-14 shooting with three steals, Isaiah Hartenstein had 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Alex Caruso chipped in 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
The Thunder won it in the paint and on turnovers. They outscored the Clippers 64-36 inside, and the Clippers turned it over 26 times. Darius Garland had 11 assists and six of those turnovers.
The Clippers kept hanging around anyway. Derrick Jones Jr. hit a 3 with three minutes left that cut it to 97-96, and that was as close as they got. Los Angeles went 15 of 38 from 3-point range to Oklahoma City's 8 of 24, and Kris Dunn had a big night with 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and five steals. Garland scored 16, and Brook Lopez added 15.
Jalen Williams had eight points and five assists before he got hurt. The Thunder host Phoenix on Monday night, so any news on his status could come before that game. The Clippers, 1-2, host the Lakers on Wednesday.
