Cade Cunningham scored 26 points and the Detroit Pistons beat the Philadelphia 76ers 106-93 on Sunday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena, handing Philadelphia its first loss and moving to 3-0. Cunningham added eight rebounds, eight assists and two blocks, and John Collins had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The meeting of the East's two unbeaten teams lost some of its shine before tipoff. Joel Embiid sat out for rest on the second night of a back-to-back, a night after his triple-double against Milwaukee, and VJ Edgecombe missed the game with an abdominal contusion, according to the Associated Press. Detroit was without All-Star center Jalen Duren, who will miss at least two weeks with a strained right hamstring he suffered Friday against Miami.
Detroit never trailed. The Pistons opened on a 15-1 run and pushed the lead to 56-35 in the second quarter, their largest of the night at 21.

Daniss Jenkins added 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists in 38 minutes, and Paul Reed had eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks starting in Duren's place.

Detroit made 14 3-pointers to Philadelphia's seven, and the 76ers never found a shooter to match Robinson. The Pistons plays at the Knicks on Tuesday. The 76ers, now 3-1, visit Indiana on Wednesday.
