  • The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the New Orleans Saints 16-10 on Sunday at Stade de France outside Paris, winning the NFL's first regular-season game in France in front of 78,488 fans. Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown pass, Chris Boswell made all three of his field goals, and the Steelers (5-2) won their third straight game.

The defense did the rest. New Orleans ran for 18 yards all day, and Payton Wilson's interception in the third quarter took points off the board.

The Saints opened the second half driving and got into the red zone. Wilson jumped a short throw from Tyler Shough meant for Chris Olave, and Pittsburgh moved into range for Boswell's 39-yard field goal with 14 seconds left in the quarter. That made it 16-10, and nobody scored again. Wilson told reporters he had repped that play more than 20 times in practice, according to the Associated Press.

  • Pittsburgh had led 10-3 in the second quarter after Rodgers found DK Metcalf for 51 yards to the New Orleans 4, then threw a 4-yard touchdown to 6-foot-7 tight end Darnell Washington. The Saints answered on fourth-and-goal from the 1, when Shough hit Devaughn Vele for the tying score with 1:45 left in the half.

Rodgers was sacked by Carl Granderson on third down just before halftime, and with no timeouts left the Steelers' offense ran off the field. Boswell hurried on and made a 47-yarder at the gun for a 13-10 lead.

  • The late defensive stand came from Patrick Queen, who sacked Shough on third down with under seven minutes left. Daniel Carlson then missed a 52-yard try in the fourth quarter. Rodgers, 42, scrambled 8 yards on third-and-6 in Saints territory just before the two-minute warning to help close it out. "Sometimes you've got to suck it up and make a play for your guys," he said.

  • Rodgers completed 19 of 30 passes for 212 yards and the touchdown. Jaylen Warren ran 18 times for 101 yards, and Pittsburgh held the ball for 32:03 without a turnover. Queen finished with 10 tackles and a sack.

Shough was 30 of 38 for 278 yards with a touchdown and the interception. Alvin Kamara caught seven passes for 57 yards but ran six times for 5 yards, and Kendre Miller had 6 yards on eight carries. "When you have a day like today, 17 runs for 18 yards, it's going to be hard to win football games doing that," Saints coach Kellen Moore said.

New Orleans (2-5) lost running back CJ Donaldson and safety Justin Reid to injuries during the game and now has its bye. The Steelers host the Cleveland Browns next Sunday before their own bye in Week 9.
