  • The Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream play Game 5 of the WNBA Finals tonight at Chase Center in San Francisco with the series tied 2-2. Tipoff is 8 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock, the league said Monday, and ESPN also lists CNBC.

  • Home court hasn't meant much. Golden State won Game 1 at home 68-64. Atlanta took Game 2 in San Francisco 79-65 and then routed the Valkyries 97-71 in Game 3 in Atlanta. Golden State answered Saturday with a 67-62 win in Game 4, using a new starting lineup and its defense to even the series, according to the league. Gabby Williams led the Valkyries with 17 points that day, and Rhyne Howard scored 19 for the Dream.

Kiah Stokes has been the defensive story. She has 14 blocks against Atlanta, the most in a single WNBA Finals series, passing Sylvia Fowles and Brittney Griner, the WNBA said.
