  • Josh Allen threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, and the Buffalo Bills beat the Baltimore Ravens 36-10 on Sunday in Orchard Park after a sloppy first half. Baltimore finished with 144 total yards and three turnovers while playing most of the day with its third-string quarterback.

  • Lamar Jackson's return from a three-game ankle absence lasted one play. His right throwing hand hit Greg Rousseau's arm as he tried to pass to Zay Flowers on Baltimore's first snap, and coach Jesse Minter said afterward that Jackson will go on injured reserve and need thumb surgery, with the injury possibly ending his season, according to the AP recap on ESPN. Tyler Huntley replaced him and hurt his toe on a sack and fumble that ended the Ravens' fourth series. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano, out of UConn, finished the game in his NFL debut and went 10 of 21 for 91 yards with an interception.

Buffalo led only 16-10 after Tyler Loop's 26-yard field goal opened the second half. Allen had scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter, Derrick Henry answered with a 2-yard touchdown, and Tyler Bass kicked field goals of 56, 22 and 51 yards. Then the Bills took over. Allen hit DJ Moore for 49 yards to set up James Cook's 5-yard touchdown run, Moore caught an 11-yard score early in the fourth quarter, and Dalton Kincaid added a 23-yard touchdown catch with 5:58 left.

  • Allen finished 21 of 34 for 289 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Kincaid caught four passes for 86 yards, Moore had four for 82 and Khalil Shakir five for 64. Cook ran for 80 yards on 21 carries. The win was Allen's 102nd including playoffs, which the AP says moves him past Tom Brady for third among players through their first nine seasons.

It was a better day for a Buffalo defense that had allowed 29 or more points in five of six games. The Bills forced three turnovers, sacked Baltimore four times and got a fourth-down stop. Baltimore also had a Henry touchdown wiped out by holding and missed a 34-yard field goal.

Buffalo (6-1) is off to its ninth 6-1 start in franchise history and has won nine straight games out of its bye under Allen. Baltimore (4-4) has lost three in a row.

  • What's next: The Ravens host Jacksonville on Thursday night, and it is unclear whether Huntley can play on the short week. The Bills play at Minnesota on Monday night, Nov. 9.
