Jaylen Warren tied his career high with 143 rushing yards and scored a touchdown on his 28th birthday, and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 27-6 on Sunday to move into first place in the AFC North.
The Steelers (6-2) avenged a road loss in Cleveland from a month ago. It was their 23rd straight regular-season home win over the Browns, which ties the NFL record for consecutive home wins over one opponent, set by Green Bay against Detroit from 1992 to 2014, according to the AP recap on ESPN.
Pittsburgh won it up front. The Steelers ran for 200 yards, 160 of them in the first half, which the AP says is the most by any team in an opening half this season. Rico Dowdle ran 9 yards up the middle for a touchdown in the first quarter, Chris Boswell kicked field goals of 20 and 37 yards, and tight end Pat Freiermuth scored on a 1-yard push on the second-to-last play of the half for a 20-6 lead.

Early in the third quarter Aaron Rodgers found 6-foot-7 tight end Darnell Washington for a 58-yard catch-and-run that set up Warren's 1-yard touchdown dive. That made it 27-6, and the Browns never threatened again.
Rodgers finished 13 of 25 for 172 yards. His interception came when DK Metcalf bobbled a pass into the hands of Denzel Ward. Washington caught three passes for 94 yards, and Dowdle added 56 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Cleveland came in eyeing its best start in 32 years behind Deshaun Watson's late-game rallies. Instead the Steelers sacked him eight times, with Patrick Queen getting 1.5 of them. Watson threw for 324 yards, many in garbage time, and briefly left in the first quarter after a late hit from Jaquan Brisker. Shedeur Sanders played a couple of snaps in relief, and that stint ended on a Harold Fannin Jr. fumble. Fannin still caught 10 passes for 154 yards. The Browns ran for 34 yards, and Quinshon Judkins managed 25 on 11 carries. Andre Szmyt kicked field goals of 32 and 49 yards for Cleveland's only points.
The Browns lost defensive tackle Maliek Collins to an elbow injury, and cornerback Tyson Campbell was evaluated for a concussion.
Cleveland falls to 5-3.
What's next: The Browns visit New Orleans next Sunday. The Steelers have a bye, then play at Cincinnati on Nov. 15.
