  • The game came five days after the Colts traded defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and guard Quenton Nelson to start a rebuild. Jonathan Taylor, who the AP says Indianapolis is reportedly willing to trade, had 23 yards on eight carries and lost a fumble on a botched trick play. Jones completed 19 of 28 passes for 144 yards with a touchdown to Josh Downs and two interceptions before he was benched for Anthony Richardson in the fourth quarter. Keenan Allen caught seven passes for 67 yards.

  • The win was costly for Jacksonville's defense. Nose tackle DaVon Hamilton was carted off with what looked like a significant right knee injury in the second quarter. Safety Eric Murray (elbow), defensive end Travon Walker (ribs), right guard Ezra Cleveland (ankle) and linebacker Branson Combs (arm) were also hurt.

Jacksonville improves to 5-2 coming off its bye. Indianapolis (2-6) has lost four straight and 13 of 15 dating to last season.
