  • Three different finishes shaped Sunday's late NFL window. Arizona needed its kicker on every scoring possession, Buffalo needed one more touchdown drive after surrendering a lead, and Kansas City needed its defense to keep the Chargers from making a game of it.

The Cardinals beat the Rams 18-16, the Bills edged the Raiders 33-30 and the Chiefs handled the Chargers 22-6. Those results left Kansas City unbeaten at 5-0 and Buffalo 5-1, while Arizona ended a four-game losing streak.

Ryland supplies all 18 Arizona points

Chad Ryland made six field goals, including a 43-yard winner as time expired. The Cardinals never scored a touchdown and still won after the Rams moved ahead with 47 seconds remaining.

  • Matthew Stafford's 6-yard touchdown pass to Colby Parkinson put Los Angeles in position to win. Punter Ethan Evans converted the extra point because Blake Grupe had injured his knee tackling on a kickoff.

Jacoby Brissett answered with a 21-yard completion to Jalen Brooks, and a 15-yard unnecessary-roughness penalty added valuable field position. A five-yard Tyler Allgeier run helped set up Ryland's final attempt.

FOX Sports captured the decisive kick:

  • Arizona and Los Angeles both finished 2-4. The Rams also lost Davante Adams to a late knee injury, with no diagnosis or return timetable established in the reviewed reports.

    Cook restores Buffalo's lead

The Raiders tied Buffalo at 23 with 8:07 remaining on Kirk Cousins' 11-yard touchdown pass to Tre Tucker. James Cook III then accounted for 46 yards on a 66-yard Bills drive and finished it with a 3-yard touchdown.

Buffalo forced a three-and-out, and Tyler Bass' field goal made the margin 10 points. Tucker's second touchdown brought Las Vegas within three, but the Bills recovered the onside kick.

The Bills' official video shows Cook's go-ahead run:

  • Josh Allen threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns. Cook added 95 rushing yards and 58 receiving yards. Cousins passed for 313 yards, but the Raiders lost their third straight game to fall to 3-3.

Walker scores twice; Chargers settle for kicks

Kenneth Walker III ran for 128 yards and touchdowns of 33 and two yards. Kansas City led 19-3 at halftime and never allowed Los Angeles into the end zone.

The Chargers got a Cam Hart interception and recovered a fumbled punt return without turning either chance into a touchdown. A late Lambert-Smith fumble, forced by L'Jarius Sneed and recovered by Drue Tranquill, ended another opportunity:

  • Justin Herbert finished with 204 passing yards. Los Angeles fell to 0-6 and lost Ladd McConkey to a concussion. Kansas City next visits Seattle; the Chargers enter their bye.
