Northwestern State sophomore Chloe Donnell made 14 3-pointers on Monday night, tying the NCAA Division I women's record in a 120-40 win over Ecclesia. She finished with 46 points on 14-of-23 shooting from deep.
Donnell matched the mark Baylor's Juicy Landrum set in 2019. Before Monday, her career high in college was four points.
"I don't think anything could compare to this," Donnell said, per ESPN. "I have never been much of a scorer. I contribute well defensively and other things, but I just shot the ball well. I knew I was hitting, but I didn't realize it was that many until the fourth quarter."

How it happened
Donnell, who transferred from South Alabama this year, had 20 points at halftime. She added 17 more in the third quarter, four of them 3-pointers, and hit the record-tying shot with 1:18 left to put the Demons up 120-36.
Her 46 points are the third-most in Northwestern State history, behind Pam Hudson's 48 and Linda Grayson's 47.
First-year coach Alan Frey, a longtime assistant at Tulane, Monmouth and Loyola New Orleans, said the team kept setting screens for her once she got going. "I've never seen anything like it," he said. "When we have someone who is on fire, let's lean into that."
What's next
The schedule gets a lot harder right away. Northwestern State opens a three-game road trip Friday at Arkansas, then plays at Oklahoma State and Louisiana Tech. A 120-40 game is not much of a test, and SEC and Big 12 defenses will chase her off the line. Even three or four 3s at Arkansas would tell the Demons they have found a real scorer.
