Manchester City's seven-game winning start to the Premier League season ended Saturday at Villa Park, where Nicolas Jackson scored twice in Aston Villa's 2-1 win, according to ESPN's match report. A few hours later Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 and moved level on points with City at the top of the table.
Jackson opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a right-footed shot into the top corner from John McGinn's pass. Erling Haaland headed City level in the 52nd minute off a set piece. Eight minutes later Jackson's first-time finish from Ibrahim Mbaye's pass squirmed under goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for the winner. City has lost at Villa Park in four straight seasons, and Villa has won six of its last seven games in all competitions.
At the Emirates, Ezri Konsa scored his first Arsenal goal in the seventh minute, bundling in a corner at the back post. Gabriel added a header in the 68th minute on his 200th Premier League appearance, from a cross by Ben White, who was making his 200th Arsenal appearance. Arsenal had not scored from a set piece this season before Saturday after scoring 29 on the way to last season's title. Mikel Arteta's team has won seven of eight league games and nine straight at home.

Three minutes later Cole Palmer, already booked for barging into Fernandes, got a second yellow for catching Conor Gallagher late. Mathys Tel finished it in the 87th minute, carrying the ball from his own half past Maxence Lacroix and shooting into the bottom corner.
Tottenham lost James Maddison to an injury early in the second half. The win was Roberto De Zerbi's team's second league win of the season, five days after its first.
Elsewhere Saturday, Oscar Bobb scored his first Premier League goal for Fulham in a 1-0 win at Coventry City that moved the Cottagers out of the relegation zone.
