LSU scored the first 49 points and produced 731 total yards Saturday night, beating McNeese 63–14 in Tiger Stadium. Sam Leavitt threw three touchdown passes, and the Tigers finished with six rushing touchdowns spread across five players.
Harlem Berry ran for 125 yards on 15 carries. Stacy Gage added 110 yards on just six attempts, including touchdown runs of 46 and 39 yards that completed LSU's scoring. The Tigers rushed for 367 yards and passed for 364, giving them nearly equal production through both parts of the offense.
Leavitt completed 18 of 23 passes for 176 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Two of his scoring throws went to Corey Barber Jr., from six and 12 yards. Roman Mothershed caught the other on a one-yard pass. Barber finished with seven receptions for 83 yards, leading an LSU receiving group in which six players reached at least 37 yards.

LSU also used Landen Clark and Husan Longstreet at quarterback. Clark completed seven of 16 passes for 126 yards, while Longstreet completed six of nine for 62. Clark scored on a three-yard run during the Tigers' early scoring surge. Dilin Jones, Deuce Geralds and Berry also ran for touchdowns before McNeese reached the scoreboard.
Jones supplied 79 rushing yards on 16 attempts and opened the scoring with a one-yard touchdown. Berry's 11-yard scoring run pushed LSU's advantage to 49–0. Gage's two long runs later restored separation after the Cowboys scored twice.
Jamaal Levi accounted for both McNeese touchdowns. He caught Brady Barrier's 43-yard scoring pass and then ran 64 yards for another score. Levi finished with 46 receiving yards on two catches and the 64-yard touchdown on his only carry. Those two explosive plays provided most of the Cowboys' offensive highlights.
Barrier completed five of seven throws for 74 yards and a touchdown. Jake Strong finished three of 10 for 20 yards with an interception. McNeese gained 196 total yards, split between 94 passing and 102 rushing, and had six first downs. LSU collected 39 first downs and converted three of three fourth-down attempts.
The Tigers' official preview documented two relevant streaks entering the matchup: 40 consecutive wins against Louisiana opponents and 23 consecutive nonconference regular-season home victories. Saturday's result extends those runs to 41 and 24, respectively. It also follows LSU's previous-week victory over Texas A&M, giving the Tigers another win before returning to SEC competition.
LSU's depth kept the offense producing after the initial advantage was secure. Nine touchdowns and Scott Starzyk's nine successful extra points turned that production into a final score reflecting the gap in sustained drives, first downs and total yardage.
