  • Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and a touchdown, Drew Stevens kicked four field goals, and the Washington Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 on Sunday night in Landover, Maryland. Washington (2-4-1) shut Philadelphia out over the final three quarters, according to the AP recap on ESPN. It was Daniels' first win as a starter since Oct. 5, 2025.

The Eagles (2-6) started fast. Jake Elliott hit a 40-yard field goal, and Saquon Barkley scored from the 3 for a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Washington's early drives were sloppy: Stevens missed from 55 yards and tight end Chig Okonkwo lost a fumble.

Stevens made the next one from 56 yards late in the first quarter. Daniels found Stefon Diggs for an 8-yard touchdown that tied it 10-10 in the second, and Stevens added a 39-yarder with 19 seconds left in the half. Daniels took a hard hit on that drive and was slow to get up, but he stayed in.

  • The swing came in the fourth quarter. Elliott made a field goal that would have cut Washington's lead to 16-13, but an illegal formation penalty wiped it out, and his 41-yard retry hit the upright. Stevens kicked a 42-yarder for a 19-10 lead with 3:43 left. Rasul Douglas then intercepted Tanner McKee, Rachaad White broke a 33-yard run to get inside the 5, and White scored from the 1. Austin Ekeler ran in the two-point conversion.

  • Daniels went 16 of 29 with no interceptions. Treylon Burks caught three passes for 81 yards, including a 53-yarder, and Antonio Williams had five catches for 54. White ran for 55 yards on 11 carries.

  • McKee, in his third start for the injured Jalen Hurts, completed 23 of 34 passes for 212 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Washington sacked him five times. Barkley was held to 30 yards on 13 carries, and the Eagles finished with 268 yards, 199 of them before a final drive that came with the game decided. Rookie Makai Lemon led Philadelphia with six catches for 57 yards. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. made 10 tackles.

  • Injuries: Eagles safety Michael Carter suffered an abdominal injury. Commanders running back Jeremy McNichols limped to the locker room in the second half with a left foot injury.

What's next: Washington, two games behind the first-place Giants in the NFC East, hosts the Rams next Sunday. Philadelphia hosts the Giants.
