  • Blake Corum ran for a 23-yard touchdown, Puka Nacua caught 11 passes and a score, and the Los Angeles Rams beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-9 on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. The Rams (4-4) won back-to-back games for the first time this season. The Chargers fell to 0-7, their worst start since 2000, and are the NFL's only winless team, according to the AP recap on ESPN.

The Rams' offense did almost nothing for most of the first half. They gained 24 yards on their first 15 plays and went without a first down on their first five drives, which had never happened in Sean McVay's time as coach. Their only points came on Brandon McManus' 30-yard field goal after Quentin Lake returned a Justin Herbert interception 45 yards.

Cameron Dicker kicked field goals of 34, 46 and 41 yards for a 9-3 Chargers lead. Then Matthew Stafford hit Tutu Atwell for 40 yards for the Rams' first first down, and Kyren Williams went in untouched from the 1 with 19 seconds left in the half.

  • Corum carried the next drive. He picked up 55 yards on it, finished with the 23-yard score and ended the day with 73 yards on 11 carries. Two plays after Trent McDuffie intercepted Herbert in the third quarter, Nacua took a screen 18 yards for a 24-9 lead.

  • Stafford finished 17 of 25 for 157 yards with a touchdown and an interception, playing without the injured Davante Adams. Nacua had 80 yards on 12 targets. Williams ran 16 times for 56 yards and a score.

Herbert went 24 of 32 for 257 yards with two interceptions and has now thrown a pick in all seven games. Ladd McConkey caught four passes for 86 yards and Oronde Gadsden five for 52. The Chargers ran for 64 yards on 22 carries, and Mike McDaniel, who kept play-calling duties through the losing streak, needed back-to-back flea-flickers to set up the second field goal.

  • Injuries: Rams cornerback Jaylen Watson hurt his shoulder early in the second half and did not return. McDuffie hurt his back in his first game back from a groin injury but was on the sideline in his helmet late. Chargers safety Derwin James went on injured reserve Saturday.
