  • The New York Giants are waiting for Tuesday's MRI to clarify Jaxson Dart's left knee injury after the quarterback left Monday night's 28-6 loss to the Rams. NFL Network reported that initial exams pointed toward an MCL sprain, while coach John Harbaugh said the injury was in the neighborhood of that diagnosis.

  • Dart was hurt on the Giants' opening drive when Rams defenders Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart converged on him as he released a deep pass. His X-rays were negative, and he walked to the sideline before entering the blue tent and leaving for further evaluation.

  • Jameis Winston replaced Dart and finished 11-of-27 for 111 yards and an interception. The Giants have a 1-1 record and host Tennessee on Sunday, leaving the MRI as the next clear checkpoint for the offense. The team has not announced a timetable for Dart.
