  • Carson Wentz will start at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, coach Kevin O'Connell announced Thursday. Kyler Murray is out with a hamstring injury and is considered week-to-week.

  • The Vikings' official account posted O'Connell's announcement that Wentz starts Monday and that Murray (hamstring) is week-to-week. Putting Murray on injured reserve is "not under consideration at all," O'Connell told ESPN. Max Brosmer will be the backup, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

  • Wentz's second start

This is Wentz's second start of the season. He led Minnesota to a 9-3 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 2 when Murray was out with a concussion. ESPN reported Wentz has completed 23 of 39 passes for 276 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in two games this season.
