  • The United States came to Sunday singles at Medinah three points behind. It left with the Presidents Cup. The Americans won 9½ of the day’s 12 points to beat the International Team 17–13, according to the official final scoreboard. All 12 singles matches are complete, and the U.S. has won the event for the 11th consecutive time.

Jacob Bridgeman delivered the point that settled it. He reached the 18th tied with Min Woo Lee, made par and won their match 1 up. That moved the U.S. to 15½ points, the threshold for an outright victory. The Golf Channel report from Medinah identifies Bridgeman as the clincher. Xander Schauffele’s later 2-and-1 win over Ryan Fox and a half point from Russell Henley against Nick Taylor took the final total to 17.

Watch Golf Channel’s NBC video of the U.S. completing the comeback, posted Sunday.

  • The International Team had carried a 10½–7½ lead into singles after Corey Conners and Taylor saved Saturday’s closing foursomes point. Cameron Young began the American rally with a 3-and-2 win over Ryo Hisatsune; Justin Thomas beat Conners 5 and 3. Tom Kim and Sungjae Im won the only two outright International singles points, defeating Wyndham Clark and Sam Burns, respectively.

The turn came in the middle and late matches. Patrick Cantlay beat Adam Scott 2 and 1 to square the overall contest at 12½ each. Collin Morikawa then won the 18th against Hideki Matsuyama for a 1-up victory and the first U.S. overall lead since Friday. Rookie Jackson Koivun followed with a 2-up win over Si Woo Kim, closing on the 18th after trailing by two holes through 10. Golf Channel’s NBC clip shows Koivun’s closing moment.

  • Scottie Scheffler also beat Nico Echavarria 2 and 1, while Chris Gotterup held off Christiaan Bezuidenhout 1 up. U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker praised his rookies after the finish and said his players had fought for one another, according to Golf Channel’s live report. International captain Geoff Ogilvy said he would not change his team’s plan, but acknowledged how hard it was to win singles on U.S. soil. His side’s three-point overnight cushion disappeared across a 9½–2½ Sunday session.
