Taylor produced 135 of those passing yards in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs rallied from a 24–17 deficit. Alabama’s offense, by contrast, built a 35–3 lead late in the second quarter against South Carolina. Those different paths to last week’s wins make the early possessions useful to follow Saturday.
Afternoon: Iowa gets Ohio State at home
Iowa brings a 4–0 record into the game at Kinnick Stadium; Ohio State is 3–1. The Buckeyes’ road trip shares the 3:30 p.m. window with unbeaten Florida’s visit to 3–1 Missouri. Both matchups put a ranked home team against a visitor ranked inside the top eight.
Night: Mensah takes Miami to Clemson
Miami quarterback Darian Mensah has completed 94 of 106 passes, or 88.7 percent, through four games, according to the Hurricanes’ official feature. Miami is 4–0 overall and 2–0 in the ACC; Clemson is 3–1 and also 2–0 in conference play.
ESPN’s Josh Pate discussion identifies Miami’s pressure against Clemson quarterback Tate Reynolds and Clemson’s coverage of Miami receiver Malachi Toney as matchup questions.
