  • Bijan Robinson supplied the fast start, Brian Robinson Jr. finished with three touchdowns, and Atlanta beat New Orleans 45–24 on Monday night at Caesars Superdome. The Falcons never trailed in the October 5 game, improving to 2–2 while the Saints fell to 1–3.

The two running backs combined for 207 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Bijan carried 19 times for 145 yards and two scores; Brian had 14 carries for 62 yards and three. Their first scoring play arrived on Atlanta’s third snap, when Bijan broke through the left side for a 59-yard touchdown.

  • New Orleans had chances to answer before the deficit grew. Daniel Carlson missed a 52-yard field goal, then Kendre Miller lost a fumble that Atlanta recovered at the Saints’ 22. The Falcons turned that short field into Bijan’s second touchdown, a four-yard run with 48 seconds left in the first quarter.

  • Alvin Kamara put New Orleans on the board on the first play of the second quarter, scoring from three yards out after Tyler Shough’s 44-yard completion to Chris Olave helped set up the possession. Atlanta answered with Brian’s four-yard touchdown and Nick Folk’s 29-yard field goal, taking a 24–7 lead into halftime.

The Saints opened the second half with a field goal, but Atlanta kept finding the end zone. Brian scored from eight yards in the third quarter. Kamara’s five-yard touchdown early in the fourth reduced the margin to 31–17, leaving New Orleans a chance to make the game competitive.

Michael Penix Jr. ended that stretch with a 31-yard touchdown pass to Jahan Dotson. Penix finished 15 of 20 for 223 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Dotson caught two passes for 54 yards; Drake London led Atlanta with five catches for 96.

  • Brian’s third touchdown, an 11-yard run with 6:52 remaining, made it 45–17. Shough later found Devaughn Vele for a three-yard score that completed the scoring. Shough finished 30 of 48 for 286 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Olave had eight catches for 116 yards, but New Orleans finished with 320 total yards against Atlanta’s 420.

The Saints’ official recap said Kamara briefly left in the third quarter with a knee injury and returned. He had seven carries for 23 yards and two touchdowns, plus five receptions for 35 yards. That report did not establish his availability beyond this game.

Atlanta’s turnover-free night and repeated answers to Saints scores kept the home team from closing the gap. For New Orleans, the early missed kick and lost fumble were followed by a defense that could not stop either Robinson from reaching the end zone.
