Report: Portnoy and Barstool leave Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff
The change; Portnoy blames Ohio State, while Fox and the school decline comment.

Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports will no longer appear on Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff,” The Athletic reported, citing sources briefed on the decision. Andrew Marchand’s report concerns the Saturday college football pregame show, where Barstool personalities had appeared since the start of the 2025 season.
The Athletic posted its reporting on X before Saturday’s games.
Portnoy offered a different explanation. In his response, the Barstool founder accused Ohio State and coach Ryan Day of pressuring Fox and the Big Ten to remove him. He also said he had not yet seen Marchand’s article and had not been contacted for a quotation.

That accusation is Portnoy’s account of the decision. Eleven Warriors reported that Ohio State officials declined to comment when contacted by The Athletic and referred questions to Fox Sports, which also declined comment.
Eleven Warriors also reported that Portnoy would continue appearing on FS1’s separate morning program, “Wake Up Barstool.” The reported “Big Noon Kickoff” change therefore concerns one part of the Fox–Barstool relationship.
Saturday’s Fox game is Michigan at Minnesota at noon Eastern. Ohio State, the team Portnoy singled out, plays at Iowa at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS.
