Quinn Meinerz describes finding calm at SoFi after earlier heart scare
The Broncos guard told The Athletic that work with Denver’s sports psychology staff helped him handle a difficult return.

Quinn Meinerz played a full game at SoFi Stadium on Sunday without the heart-related difficulties he had experienced on earlier visits. After Denver's 23-17 win over the Chargers, the guard told The Athletic's Nick Kosmider how much that meant to him.
Meinerz left a game at the stadium in December 2023 because of an irregular heartbeat and stayed in the Los Angeles area overnight for observation. He told Kosmider that subsequent games there had been difficult.
Before this season's visit, he worked with Denver's sports psychology staff on breathing exercises to help him manage the stress he associated with the venue. While the Broncos' defense was on the field Sunday, he paid attention to his breathing before returning for the next offensive series.

Kosmider's report, published Thursday in full by NFL.com, also describes changes away from the field. Meinerz said setting clearer boundaries in personal relationships helped him arrive at training camp with more enthusiasm. He did not disclose all the circumstances.
Meinerz is in his sixth season and has earned two first-team Associated Press All-Pro selections, according to his Broncos profile. Denver faces Seattle on Thursday night.
