    Tate Sandell's 47-yard field goal on the final play gave Oklahoma a 27-24 win over No. 1 Texas at the Cotton Bowl. Arch Manning threw three touchdowns but also two fourth-quarter interceptions. Courtland Guillory's late takeaway set up the winning kick after Texas had missed its own chance from 53 yards. ESPN captured the missed attempt that kept Oklahoma alive.

  • UCLA 17, Oregon 15

    UCLA remained unbeaten with a 17-15 win at Oregon, surviving Nico Iamaleava's departure with a reported lower-leg injury. Wayne Knight ran for 103 yards and scored twice. Oregon committed seven turnovers, then missed a repeated two-point attempt after Evan Stewart's late touchdown. No recovery timetable for Iamaleava was established.

    Notre Dame 58, Stanford 7

    Jonaz Walton's 97-yard touchdown supplied the afternoon's longest Notre Dame scoring play in a 58-7 rout of Stanford. The freshman rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns; the Irish reported a program record for a true freshman. Notre Dame gained 598 yards and improved to 6-0. NBC's clip follows Walton from his own three-yard line to the end zone.

  • Ohio State 45, Maryland 16

    Julian Sayin threw four touchdown passes and Jeremiah Smith turned his first two catches into scores as Ohio State beat Maryland 45-16. Smith finished with 93 receiving yards. Bo Jackson added 107 rushing yards and two touchdowns, helping the Buckeyes finish after a Maryland interception return briefly narrowed the second-half margin.

    Trinidad Chambliss accounted for four touchdowns in Ole Miss' 52-17 win at Vanderbilt. Two Commodores fumbles near halftime produced two quick Rebels touchdowns and a 42-3 lead. Defensive lineman Jamarious Brown caught a scoring pass earlier, while Suntarine Perkins returned a fumble for another touchdown.

    Tennessee 24, Arkansas 17

    DeSean Bishop's eight-yard touchdown with 1:57 remaining carried Tennessee past Arkansas 24-17. His career-long 59-yard run started the decisive drive from Tennessee's six-yard line. Bishop finished with 138 rushing yards, while George MacIntyre threw for 247 yards in his first career start. Tennessee next hosts Alabama.

    Houston 35, Kansas State 16

    Patrick Overmyer caught four touchdown passes from Conner Weigman as Houston defeated Kansas State 35-16. Houston said the performance tied the NCAA record for a tight end. Overmyer finished with eight catches for 83 yards, and the Cougars gained 475 yards without a turnover.

    Illinois 38, Michigan State 37 (OT)

    Illinois needed overtime and a conversion stop to beat Michigan State 38-37. Freshman Michael Clayton II, replacing injured Katin Houser, found Hudson Clement for a 25-yard touchdown on the Illini's first overtime snap. Xavier Scott then broke up the Spartans' two-point attempt after Jaziun Patterson's touchdown.

    Georgia Tech 28, Duke 25

    Trelain Maddox's third rushing touchdown came with 54 seconds left, lifting Georgia Tech past Duke 28-25. The Blue Devils missed a 33-yard field goal in the closing seconds and suffered their first loss. Maddox's earlier 60-yard scoring run had built the lead that Duke erased before the final possession.

    Cal 25, Virginia Tech 20

    Cal answered Virginia Tech's late lead with Ashten Emory's two-yard touchdown run with 18 seconds remaining, winning 25-20. Jackson Brousseau threw for 321 yards in his first start for the Bears, replacing Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele after the starter was ruled out following warmups because of a concussion.

    North Texas 50, Charlotte 10

    Tayven Jackson threw five touchdowns in three quarters as North Texas routed Charlotte 50-10. Justin Stevenson caught two of those scores and finished with 122 receiving yards. The Mean Green accumulated 580 yards, took a 40-10 halftime lead and kept Charlotte scoreless after the break.

    Navy 34, Tulsa 26

    Jackson Gutierrez rushed 41 times for 232 yards and three touchdowns in Navy's 34-26 comeback against Tulsa. He also threw a touchdown pass. Navy scored the final 20 points, and its last touchdown drive consumed 6:16 before Gutierrez finished from three yards with 1:10 remaining.

    Eastern Michigan 25, Akron 23

    Rudy Kessinger's fourth field goal, a 48-yarder with 1:50 left, gave Eastern Michigan a 25-23 victory at Akron. The Zips missed a potential winning kick in the closing seconds. Eastern Michigan reached 3-0 in the MAC for the first time since 1995, according to the university.

    Buffalo 23, Toledo 8

    Messiah Burch immediately answered Toledo's only touchdown with an 87-yard scoring run, helping Buffalo win 23-8. Toledo had just narrowed the deficit to eight when Burch broke free. The Rockets lost three fumbles and committed 15 penalties for 137 yards, while Buffalo finished without a turnover.

    Ohio 31, Central Michigan 14

    Nick Poulos threw three touchdown passes before halftime as Ohio beat Central Michigan 31-14. The Bobcats built a 31-0 lead, with Michael Molnar's strip-sack providing a short field for one score. Ohio extended its home winning streak to 16 games and stayed unbeaten in the MAC at 2-0.

    Western Michigan 38, Kent State 7

    Broc Lowry threw three touchdown passes and ran for another in Western Michigan's 38-7 win over Kent State. Adam Parks caught two scores. A touchdown just before halftime restored the Broncos' two-score lead, and Western Michigan kept Kent State off the scoreboard throughout the second half.

    UConn 34, Temple 20

    UConn gained 505 yards in a 34-20 road win over Temple. Trey Cornist ran for 114 yards on seven carries, and Cyncir Bowers' eight-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter extended a four-point lead to 11. Four Huskies scored rushing touchdowns, while Temple lost two fumbles.
