Adrian Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday, closing with a four-under 68 at St Andrews to finish two shots clear of Casey Jarvis and Niklas Nørgaard. The official tournament leaderboard lists Meronk at 20 under and 268 strokes after rounds of 71, 66, 63 and 68.
His fifth DP World Tour victory also settles an immediate question about his playing future. The Polish Golf Union said Meronk entered the week 141st in the Race to Dubai, with his tour card at risk, and that the win secures his right to play through the end of the 2028 season. A difficult year now includes both a trophy and a route forward.
Meronk began the final round two strokes behind Jarvis. According to the Associated Press, three birdies in his first five holes helped him close the gap, but Jarvis still had a one-shot advantage when he reached the short ninth. A three-putt bogey there brought them level. Another Jarvis bogey at the 11th, followed by Meronk's birdie at the 12th, gave the eventual winner room to work.

The decisive separation came at the par-five 14th. Meronk's pitch-and-run finished close enough to set up another birdie, extending his advantage to three. A bogey on the Road Hole at the 17th briefly offered Jarvis a chance, but the South African also bogeyed that hole. Jarvis could not produce the eagle he needed at the last and signed for a level-par 72.
Nørgaard's closing 68 earned a share of second at 18 under. Tommy Fleetwood shot 64 to join Michael Stewart, who closed with 66, in a tie for fourth at 17 under. Those low rounds moved players up the leaderboard, but Meronk had already built enough of a cushion to withstand them.
The setting gave the result a personal history. Meronk made his professional debut at this tournament a decade ago, the Polish federation reported. This time, his Saturday 63 at Kingsbarns put him in position to contend, and he finished the job on the Old Course.
He sounded relieved as well as pleased in the tour's post-round interview. The win returns Meronk to the DP World Tour winner's circle for the first time since 2023, according to Golfweek. For a player who arrived needing to protect his status, the most lasting result of Sunday's finish may be the playing opportunities it preserves beyond this autumn.
