The LOTTE Championship is moving to Kapalua’s Plantation Course in 2027, giving the LPGA a Maui stop in a new spring swing through Hawaii. The tour announced the venue change Monday, with a $3 million purse and a tournament week scheduled for March 15–21.
The four competition rounds will run March 18–21, according to Kapalua’s announcement and Golfweek’s report. Kapalua expects a field of 120 LPGA professionals. Those dates bring LOTTE forward from its October slot and place it one week after the new Nanea Cup on the Big Island.
The pairing changes how the tour visits the islands. Golfweek reports that the two Hawaii events will follow the spring Asia swing, creating consecutive tournament stops before players move on. The LOTTE name and purse carry into the new arrangement, while the host island and time of year change.

LOTTE began at Ko Olina Golf Club in 2012 and moved to Hoakalei Country Club in 2022. The 2027 tournament will be its 15th edition, following five years at Hoakalei on Oahu. LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler thanked that club and described Kapalua’s golf history as part of the appeal of the new venue.
The Plantation Course hosted the PGA Tour’s Sentry from 1999 through 2025. GOLF’s report places the LPGA announcement against the end of that longstanding PGA Tour presence on Maui. The new tournament will give the course a place on the women’s schedule after years of familiarity to viewers of the men’s tour.
Kapalua has hosted the LPGA before, but that event was on the resort’s Bay Course. Morgan Pressel won the Kapalua LPGA Classic there in October 2008. The Plantation Course, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, will host LOTTE for the first time in March.
Hawaii native Allisen Corpuz welcomed the move in the LPGA announcement, recalling attending LOTTE while growing up and looking forward to competing at Kapalua. The tour also tied the return of a major tournament to Maui’s continuing recovery following the 2023 Lahaina wildfires.
