  • Minnesota beat San Francisco 3-2 on Tuesday night after a sixth-inning rally and a seventh-inning home run by Walker Jenkins. Taj Bradley held the Giants to one run on three hits across six innings, striking out six. The Twins needed Jenkins' extra run when San Francisco scored in the ninth.

  • The Giants scored first in the second inning. Shay Whitcomb came home on Drew Cavanaugh's sacrifice bunt, and the 1-0 margin held through five innings. San Francisco starter Anthony Molina worked six innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs while striking out six.

Minnesota changed the game in the sixth. Ryan Kreidler scored on Luke Keaschall's triple to center, tying it. Brooks Lee then singled home Keaschall for a 2-1 lead. Jenkins led off the seventh against reliever Duncan Davitt and homered to right on the first pitch, his fourth home run of the season. What looked like insurance became the winning margin.

  • San Francisco mounted a final push in the ninth. Brett Harris scored on Jonah Cox's force out, but Andrew Knizner was retired at third on the same play, and the Twins kept the Giants from tying it. Both clubs finished with six hits. Bradley's six-inning start gave Minnesota a platform for its midgame rally, while the seventh-inning homer kept a late Giants run from forcing extra innings.

An Associated Press recap also highlighted Bradley's six-inning outing and Jenkins' first-pitch homer. The line between the teams was small: Molina and Bradley each completed six innings, and the score was tied or within a run for much of the night. Keaschall and Lee supplied the one inning Minnesota needed to take control.

  • The Twins' official highlights show the sixth-inning rally and Jenkins' swing, alongside the Giants' late attempt to close the gap.
