  • The Jaguars are signing veteran long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday, after Ross Matiscik injured his shoulder in Sunday’s win over Philadelphia.

Bobenmoyer is heading to London to join Jacksonville, according to the report. The Jaguars stay in the city for Sunday’s game against Houston, giving the team a specialist option after defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton filled in at long snapper against the Eagles.

Coach Liam Coen had said earlier Monday that a long snapper was on his way from the United States. The later report identified that player as Bobenmoyer. The NFL’s roundup added that Matiscik is not expected to go on injured reserve, per Rapoport; that reported expectation does not establish his availability for the Texans game.

  • Matiscik hurt his left shoulder on Jacksonville’s first punt Sunday and left the postgame locker room in a sling, the Florida Times-Union reported. Hamilton took over and delivered the snap on the last-second field goal that beat Philadelphia 19-17.

The injury left Jacksonville working through an unusual special-teams arrangement during the game. Adding a specialist would allow Hamilton to focus on his defensive job as the Jaguars prepare for their second London appearance.

  • Jacksonville also is waiting on left tackle Anton Harrison’s knee evaluation. Harrison underwent an MRI Monday after leaving the Eagles game. Coen said the team could elevate an offensive lineman internally if needed, while Walker Little would start if Harrison cannot play, according to the Times-Union.

  • The two situations require different roster decisions. Monday’s long-snapper report identifies outside help arriving in London; Harrison’s injury outlook remains unsettled.
