  • Hunter Henry was named the NFLPA’s Week 6 Community MVP on Friday after his second annual Freedom to Play ping-pong tournament raised more than $220,000 to support efforts against human trafficking.

The players’ union will donate another $10,000 to International Justice Mission in recognition of the Patriots tight end’s work, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Henry and his wife, Parker, hosted the event Monday at SPIN Boston. They started the tournament in 2025 with International Justice Mission, an organization that works against human trafficking and modern-day slavery, according to the Patriots’ account of Friday’s award.

  • The couple’s involvement with the organization predates Henry’s arrival in New England in 2021. They also made an 11-day trip to Kenya last offseason to see its work firsthand, the team reported.

Drake Maye, Kevin Byard, TreVeyon Henderson and former Patriots center David Andrews were among those who joined Monday’s tournament. Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner and Celtics forward Luka Garza also attended.

Henry follows teammate Mack Hollins, who received the NFLPA’s Community MVP award for Week 4. Henry was New England’s Ron Burton Community Service Award winner and its Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee in 2025.
