Glasnow faces elimination as Brewers plan bullpen game in NLCS Game 4
Milwaukee has a chance to reach its first World Series since 1982; Los Angeles needs a win Thursday night.

Tyler Glasnow gets the ball with the Dodgers’ season on the line Thursday night. The Brewers lead the National League Championship Series 3–0 and can clinch a World Series berth in Game 4 at Dodger Stadium, scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern on FS1.
The pitching plans present two different tests. Los Angeles has a named starter who must recover his command. Milwaukee expects to piece together a bullpen game and had not announced an opening pitcher when MLB published its early Thursday preview. The club still has several rested pitchers available.
Glasnow limited Atlanta to one run over 4⅔ innings in his previous start, the Dodgers’ Division Series clincher. He also walked five. Giving away that many baserunners again would leave little room for an offense that collected five hits in Wednesday’s 6–2 loss.

The Sporting Tribune: Glasnow discusses Game 4 assignment
Read source ↗ Milwaukee’s options include pitchers who have barely been needed. Kyle Harrison, Shane Drohan and Chad Patrick had not appeared in the club’s first seven postseason games. Dustin May, another possible option, worked an inning in Game 2. None should be described as Thursday’s confirmed starter until the club makes that announcement.
The back end requires attention, too. DL Hall recorded seven outs Wednesday and Trevor Megill finished a four-out save. Manager Pat Murphy has fresh alternatives, but his choices will depend on how the game develops. The Dodgers’ bullpen has its own decision ahead: Dave Roberts said closer Edwin Díaz would pitch in Game 4 after sitting out the first three games of the series.
Los Angeles also needs more sustained offense. Will Smith’s two-run double briefly put the Dodgers ahead Wednesday, and Shohei Ohtani reached base three times after moving to sixth in the order. Those contributions did not become a complete offensive rebound. Thursday’s actual lineup remains a separate announcement; projected orders are not confirmed cards.
Milwaukee is one victory from its first World Series appearance since 1982. For the Dodgers, the immediate assignment is much smaller: win this game and force a fifth one.
