Friday's college football window produced two competitive games and one runaway. Miami beat Wake Forest 33-20, Texas Tech held off Houston 28-26, and Oregon shut out Portland State 84-0.
Miami's win was driven by Darian Mensah's record-setting passing night and a fourth-quarter safety. Texas Tech built an early lead before Houston answered with touchdown passes and runs, but the Red Raiders protected a two-point margin. Oregon finished with 726 yards and four takeaways while Portland State managed 103 yards.
The three finals set the Saturday slate in different ways. Miami stays unbeaten after an ACC road test, Texas Tech takes the early Big 12 head-to-head win, and Oregon enters the weekend with a shutout that says little about its next level of competition but confirms a complete performance against Portland State.
