  • Texas Tech intercepted four passes and scored the final 29 points Saturday night, beating Colorado 29–7 in Boulder. The Red Raiders trailed after an early Buffaloes touchdown but held Colorado scoreless the rest of the way, turning a close game into a comfortable finish with two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Stone Harrington made field goals from 52, 27 and 46 yards. Will Hammond threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Carter Jr., and Texas Tech led 15–7 before John Curry's interception touchdown added separation. Quinten Joyner then scored on a 30-yard run to complete the scoring.

Colorado opened the scoring with Isaac Wilson's eight-yard touchdown pass to Joseph Williams. Williams finished with 10 catches for 93 yards, but his own pass attempt also became one of the Buffaloes' four interceptions. Brice Pollock intercepted that throw and later picked off Wilson. Malik Esquerra supplied another interception before Curry's scoring play.

  • The result came despite Colorado finishing with more total yards. The Buffaloes gained 375 to Texas Tech's 315, including 297 passing yards. They could not turn that movement into another score, while the Red Raiders finished without a turnover. Wilson completed 26 of 44 passes for 290 yards and one touchdown, with three interceptions.

Hammond completed 17 of 26 attempts for 134 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Carter was his most frequent target, catching eight passes for 67 yards. Texas Tech did more of its offensive work on the ground, rushing for 181 yards behind J'Koby Williams and Joyner.

Williams carried 17 times for 88 yards, including a 35-yard gain. Joyner added 63 yards on 10 carries, with his late touchdown accounting for nearly half of that total. Colorado managed 78 rushing yards. Wilson led the Buffaloes with 42 on 17 attempts, while no Colorado running back reached 20 yards.

  • The game also produced a valuable road result for Texas Tech. The school's official preview listed the Red Raiders at 4–0 overall and 1–0 in the Big 12 entering their first conference road test. They leave Boulder 5–0 and 2–0. Colorado, which entered 2–2 and 0–1 in the league, drops to 2–3 and 0–2.

Harrington's kicks kept the score moving while Texas Tech's passing offense stayed modest. The interceptions ultimately made that enough: one stopped a Colorado possession outright with points, and the others denied the Buffaloes chances to build on their opening touchdown. Texas Tech's final touchdown then removed the pressure from a game that had remained within one score entering the fourth quarter.
