World Series Game 2 tops Saturday's schedule, with the WNBA Finals at 1 p.m. ET and college football from noon until past midnight. Here are the events worth planning around.
World Series Game 2: Rays at Brewers, 8 p.m. ET, Fox
Milwaukee leads 1-0 after holding on for a 3-2 win in Game 1, which needed a replay review to finish. Drew Rasmussen starts for Tampa Bay against the team that drafted him in the sixth round in 2018 and traded him to the Rays in 2021. "Had the Brewers been playing anyone else in the World Series, man, I'd be rooting for them," he said Friday.
Rasmussen is 11-0 with a 1.73 ERA since the All-Star break, according to MLB.com, and the Rays held him back a day for this start. Milwaukee counters with rookie Logan Henderson (11-3, 2.47 ERA in the regular season). The Brewers are 21-4 in his 25 career starts, including 2-0 this postseason. Milwaukee is a -125 favorite, per the AP. The Rays, who had two runners thrown out in Game 1, say they won't stop running.
