  • Davante Adams is expected to miss six to 10 weeks after rupturing his hamstring in Sunday's loss to Arizona, Rams coach Sean McVay said Monday. The update came with season-ending injuries to defensive tackle Poona Ford and kicker Blake Grupe, while defensive tackle Kobie Turner is headed to injured reserve.

Adams pulled up on a route without contact late in the 18-16 loss. The receiver had 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns through Los Angeles' first six games.

NFL on ESPN covered Monday's injury announcement in this NFL Live segment:

  • A long absence at receiver

McVay gave the six-to-ten-week estimate in his Monday remarks to reporters. ESPN's Adam Schefter relayed the coach's update:

  • NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Adams is expected to undergo a procedure on the hamstring tendon. The procedure had not been reported as completed, and the estimate does not establish a return date.

Adams' absence leaves Matthew Stafford without a receiver who had accounted for four touchdown catches. Puka Nacua remains available, but the Rams must find more production elsewhere in the passing game. The Associated Press reported that Konata Mumpfield's eight catches for 127 yards were the third-most among Rams receivers this season.

  • More losses on defense and special teams

Ford's season is over after a ruptured triceps, McVay said. Turner is going on injured reserve with a groin injury. Those losses remove two defensive tackles from a front already waiting for Myles Garrett to return from injured reserve. McVay said Garrett would not begin practicing this week, according to NFL.com.

Grupe's knee injury also ends his season. He was hurt while trying to make a tackle on kickoff coverage in his first game with the Rams, the AP reported. Los Angeles must address the kicking job again before Sunday's trip to Las Vegas.

The Rams fell to 2-4 with the loss to Arizona. Monday's injury report leaves McVay preparing for that next game with changes required at receiver, along the defensive front and at kicker.
