  • Ashton Daniels scored all five of Florida State’s touchdowns on the ground Saturday, carrying the Seminoles from an early deficit to a 38–7 victory over Virginia in Tallahassee. His 17 carries produced 136 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown that put the game beyond Virginia’s reach late in the third quarter.

Florida State’s official report identified the five rushing touchdowns as single-game records for the program and Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles improved to 3–2 overall and 1–1 in the ACC, the same records Virginia holds after the loss.

The first quarter gave little indication of the margin to come. Beau Pribula found Da’Shawn Martin for a 13-yard touchdown with 6:04 left, and Virginia led 7–0 entering the second period. Florida State answered with touchdown runs of four and three yards by Daniels, then a 44-yard Gabe Panikowski field goal. That sequence sent the Seminoles into halftime ahead 17–7.

  • The tying drive covered 98 yards. Daniels’ 48-yard completion to Quintrevion Wisner moved Florida State close to the goal line before the quarterback finished it himself. The next touchdown required a much shorter field after Virginia’s offense stalled. Florida State kept possession moving with its rushing game and made both opportunities count.

Daniels added a six-yard touchdown at 7:47 of the third quarter. His 81-yard run came less than five minutes later, extending the lead to 31–7. A one-yard score with 3:41 remaining completed his afternoon. He also completed 12 of 19 passes for 183 yards, with one interception.

Virginia’s offense never answered its opening touchdown. The Cavaliers finished with 205 total yards and only 37 net rushing yards on 40 attempts. Pribula completed 14 of 32 passes for 168 yards. Florida State’s 10 sacks helped explain that rushing total: college statistics subtract sack yardage from rushing production.

  • Ira Schoffel of Warchant reported that Florida State outgained Virginia 218 yards to minus-12 in the second quarter. The box score also shows how frequently Virginia’s drives ended without a conversion: the Cavaliers went 3 of 15 on third down and failed on all four fourth-down attempts.

Florida State totaled 464 yards, including 281 rushing. Ousmane Kromah contributed 80 yards on 17 carries, while Wisner had 46 rushing yards and 60 receiving yards. Micahi Danzy led the receivers with four catches for 70 yards. Those contributions helped sustain the offense around Daniels’ scoring runs.

The Seminoles have a short turnaround before visiting Louisville on Friday, October 9. Virginia returns home to face Syracuse next Saturday. For Florida State, the conference win followed an opening quarter in which its offense had to recover; the remaining three quarters yielded every point of the winning margin.
