  • Terry McLaurin was added to Washington's Friday injury report with a hamstring injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against Indianapolis in London. The receiver was limited in practice after carrying no injury listing Wednesday or Thursday. ESPN's John Keim shared the team's final report Friday afternoon.

Running back Rachaad White is out with a shoulder injury after missing all three practices. That adds a confirmed backfield absence to Marcus Mariota's second straight start in place of Jayden Daniels. McLaurin's questionable designation leaves his availability open.

Jayden Daniels will miss Washington's game against Indianapolis in London on Sunday, with Marcus Mariota making his second straight start. Coach Dan Quinn ruled Daniels out Friday after the quarterback returned to limited practice while recovering from a dislocated left elbow.

  • Daniels traveled with the Commanders and practiced in a brace. Quinn still ruled him out for Sunday. Quinn said the team would reassess him next week after another full week of practice; he did not promise a return against the Giants.

  • Mariota takes over again after helping Washington beat Seattle 33-31 last weekend. He completed 19 of 31 passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns, according to NBC Sports. NFL.com reported that he threw no interceptions and finished with a 110.0 passer rating.

The London decision gives Washington a settled starter after a week in which Daniels' practice participation left the question open. Daniels injured his non-throwing elbow during the Week 2 loss at Dallas, and Mariota has handled the offense since that injury. Washington will use the same starter who handled last weekend’s win.

  • Help returns around Mariota

Quinn also said tight end Chig Okonkwo and linebacker Frankie Luvu will play against Indianapolis, NBC Sports reported. Both missed Washington's previous two games. Okonkwo's return restores a receiving option for Mariota; Luvu's return concerns the other side of the ball.

The quarterback matchup comes against a Colts defense that allowed 276 passing yards per game through three weeks, according to NFL.com. That figure describes Indianapolis' opening stretch and does not establish what Mariota will produce Sunday.

For fantasy managers, Friday resolves the immediate lineup question: Daniels is out and Mariota is the starter. Washington's next practice reports will supply the evidence for a later Daniels decision. His return to limited work this week should not be treated as a confirmed return date.
