Carter reportedly playing through wrist fracture ahead of Rams game
A hairline fracture in Carter’s right wrist; Philadelphia estimates full participation in Wednesday’s walkthrough.

Jalen Carter is playing through a hairline fracture in his right wrist, Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Jeff McLane reported Wednesday, citing NFL sources. The Eagles' own Week 4 injury report lists Carter with a wrist injury and estimates that he would have been a full participant in Wednesday's walkthrough.
McLane reported that Carter suffered the injury in Week 1 and wore a soft cast in the last two games. His report adds a diagnosis to an injury that Philadelphia has already been listing. The team's Wednesday report describes Carter's participation and the affected wrist without identifying the fracture.
Wednesday was a walkthrough following the Eagles' Monday night game in Chicago, so the practice categories are estimates. Carter's full listing indicates what the team believed he could have done in a normal session. Philadelphia has not yet assigned its final game statuses for Sunday's home matchup against the Rams.

There are other questions along the defensive front. Jordan Davis was estimated as limited with a calf injury, and Moro Ojomo was limited with calf and elbow injuries. Jonathan Greenard, who made his Eagles debut against the Bears after missing the first two games, was estimated as full with a pectoral injury. Linebacker Zack Baun is in concussion protocol and would not have practiced.
The Rams' passing game may regain Puka Nacua for that matchup. Philadelphia's report notes that Los Angeles coach Sean McVay expects the receiver back after two missed games with a hip injury and groin soreness. That expectation gives the Eagles another player to prepare for while they monitor their own defenders.
For leagues using individual defensive players, Carter's reported injury and estimated practice participation are separate parts of the roster decision. The Eagles have not announced a new absence or a snap limit for him. The remaining reports and Sunday's active list will give managers firmer information than projecting a workload from Wednesday's walkthrough alone.
