Cardinals place Paris Johnson Jr. And Hunter Long on IR; Quitoriano promoted
A potential veteran addition in Jedrick Wills Jr.

The Cardinals placed left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. and tight end Hunter Long on injured reserve Tuesday, turning two injuries from Sunday's game against the Giants into changes on the active roster. Arizona promoted tight end Teagan Quitoriano from the practice squad to replace Long.
Johnson tore his left biceps against New York and will miss the rest of the season. The team said Monday that he would need surgery. His move to IR on Tuesday completes the roster step that followed that diagnosis.
Coach Mike LaFleur has identified rookie Jayden Williams as the replacement at left tackle. A seventh-round pick, Williams has played only a handful of snaps in heavy personnel packages. Josh Fryar is another option for depth; he appeared in 12 games last season and played at both tackle spots.

The Cardinals' Tuesday report also said the team was reportedly signing veteran tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. from Buffalo's practice squad. That remains a reported addition in the team's account, rather than a completed signing announced among the confirmed roster moves. Wills is a former first-round pick of the Browns.
Long injured his right knee on a punt play when teammate Wydett Williams Jr. collided with him. Quitoriano's promotion supplies a replacement at tight end, while Arizona said it still had an open place on its 53-man roster following Tuesday's moves.
The offensive line also has another injury to monitor before Sunday's game against Detroit. Right guard Isaiah Adams was carted to the locker room with an ankle injury against the Giants. LaFleur had not ruled Adams out when he spoke Monday; Jon Gaines II would start if Adams cannot play.
Arizona also re-signed tight end Kenny Yeboah to the practice squad and added offensive lineman Austin Deculus and safety Mark Perry there. It released offensive lineman Vershon Lee and cornerback D'Shawn Jamison from the practice squad. Yeboah had been with Arizona during training camp before his release with an injury settlement.
