Riley Moss was estimated as a limited participant on Denver’s first injury report for Thursday’s game against Seattle. Pat Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga were estimated as nonparticipants, leaving three members of the Broncos’ secondary on the report before the short week’s practices begin.
Denver did not practice Monday. The designations describe what the team estimated each player could have done if it had held a session; they do not mean Moss took part in an actual practice or that either nonparticipant has been ruled out of the Seahawks game.
Moss is dealing with a rib injury suffered against San Francisco in Week 4. He missed Sunday’s win over the Chargers. Surtain also missed that game after hurting his ankle in Week 4, while Hufanga left the Chargers game with an ankle injury.

Defensive end Sai’vion Jones, who has a shoulder injury, was also estimated as limited. Safety Brandon Jones, listed with a foot injury, and guard Ben Powers, listed with a biceps injury, were estimated as full participants.
The report gives Denver an initial picture of its availability after the Chargers game. It leaves the secondary’s final lineup unsettled, with Moss showing a different estimated participation level from Surtain and Hufanga.
Denver will issue another participation report Tuesday and release game statuses Wednesday. Those updates will establish whether the injured defensive backs can return for the Thursday night matchup.
