Michael Brennan finished with six straight pars to win the Baycurrent Classic by one stroke Sunday in Japan, closing with a three-under 68 for a 16-under total of 268. Jacob Bridgeman and Keith Mitchell shared second place as Brennan collected his second PGA Tour victory of 2026 and third overall.
The finish at Yokohama Country Club turned on Brennan's response to a bogey at the 10th. Birdies at Nos. 11 and 12 restored his position, and he protected it for the rest of the round. Associated Press reporting published by the PGA Tour identified his bunker shot to a foot at the par-three 16th as his strongest late par save.
Brennan started Sunday tied for the lead with Bridgeman and Zach Bauchou. The PGA Tour's Saturday highlights package provides context for the crowded leaderboard entering the final round; it is footage from before Sunday's finish.

Read source ↗ Bridgeman had chances to catch Brennan near the end. His five-foot birdie attempt at the 17th missed to the right. A 55-foot birdie putt over a ridge on the final hole also failed to fall, leaving him with a two-under 69 and a 15-under total. He had held at least a share of the lead after each of the first three rounds.
Mitchell's round followed a different course. A five-hole stretch featuring three birdies and an eagle moved him two strokes ahead, but he played his last 10 holes in two over. He still matched Brennan's 68 for the day and joined Bridgeman one shot behind the winner.
Defending champion Xander Schauffele arrived at the final hole a stroke back. A drive into trees on the left led to a double bogey, dropping him to a tie for fourth at 13 under despite a closing 67. Brian Harman, Stephan Jaeger, Ryan Gerard and Jordan Smith also finished at 13 under.
Brennan, 24, found all 15 fairways in the final round, according to the PGA Tour's points-and-payouts report. The victory earned him $1.44 million from the $8 million purse. Both runners-up received $704,000. Brennan's previous win this season came at the Wyndham Championship in August; his first Tour title was last year's Bank of Utah Championship.
The result also secured his exemption into the 2027 U.S. Open, the Tour reported. Brennan already belonged to the season's top-50 FedExCup group, so the winner's 500 Fall points were not distributed to him. Mitchell earned 245 points for his shared second place and moved to 51st in the FedExCup standings.
Jordan Spieth finished tied for 13th at 11 under, while Hideki Matsuyama was tied for 21st at nine under. Bauchou, one of the overnight co-leaders, finished tied for ninth at 12 under.
