  • Jake Bauers turned an 11-pitch confrontation with Blake Snell into a two-run homer, Garrett Mitchell followed with another shot and the Brewers beat the Dodgers 6-2 at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday. Milwaukee leads the National League Championship Series 3-0 and needs one more win to reach the World Series.

Los Angeles had taken its first lead of the night one inning earlier. Will Smith’s two-run double in the sixth put the Dodgers ahead 2-1 after three walks by reliever Abner Uribe loaded the bases. The lead lasted only until Milwaukee’s next turn at bat.

Andrew Vaughn walked to open the seventh, and Christian Yelich replaced him as a pinch runner. Bauers then kept his plate appearance alive through repeated foul balls before driving Snell’s 11th pitch over the right-field fence. The 412-foot homer made it 3-2. Mitchell’s 428-foot drive immediately afterward stretched the lead to 4-2 and ended Snell’s outing.

  • The Brewers’ official Game 3 highlights show that reversal, alongside the early lead and the late outs that completed the win.

  • Snell had given Los Angeles a strong chance to recover from its two losses in Milwaukee. He struck out nine in six-plus innings and allowed four hits, but three of those hits were home runs. His final line was four runs and two walks on 101 pitches. The consecutive seventh-inning homers undid the work he had done between Milwaukee’s scoring bursts.

Jackson Chourio supplied the first burst, homering on Snell’s first pitch of the game. Snell settled down afterward, while Milwaukee starter Robert Gasser kept the Dodgers scoreless through five innings. Gasser allowed three hits and one walk and struck out three before Uribe’s difficult sixth inning gave Los Angeles its opening.

  • Milwaukee’s next two relievers closed that opening. DL Hall worked 2 1/3 scoreless innings with one hit allowed and no walks. Trevor Megill retired the final four batters for the save, striking out two. The Dodgers finished with five hits; Smith drove in both of their runs.

Cooper Pratt went 3-for-4 for Milwaukee, which added a run on an eighth-inning wild pitch and another on Joey Ortiz’s ninth-inning single. Those insurance runs moved the game beyond the immediate reach of a tying swing while Hall and Megill protected the advantage.

The Dodgers’ lineup change did not produce a sustained breakthrough. Shohei Ohtani, moved to sixth for Game 3, went 1-for-2 with a walk. Los Angeles scored only in the sixth, then went through its final three innings without adding a run.

Game 4 is Thursday at Dodger Stadium, scheduled for 8 PM Eastern on FS1, FOX Deportes and FOX One. Milwaukee can clinch its first World Series appearance since 1982; Los Angeles must win to extend its season.
