Caleb Wilson gave the Bulls an encouraging answer about his shooting range in Las Vegas, then supplied plenty of work for training camp. His summer debut produced 35 points and seven three-pointers, CBS Sports reported.
The change in shot selection was more striking than one scoring total. SB Nation's rookie review tracked a jump in his three-point attempt share from 9.1% at North Carolina to 47.1% with the Summer Bulls. It also identified ball security and free-throw shooting as areas needing improvement.
Blog a Bull's separate review emphasized that his playmaking had not advanced as quickly as his willingness to shoot. Its discussion of CHGO analyst Will Gottlieb's assessment pointed to patience and attention to detail as priorities alongside the scoring promise.

That leaves Chicago with a specific coaching task. A forward willing to shoot from outside can force different defensive choices, but those possessions still depend on reading pressure and finding teammates. Wilson's first summer supplied evidence of both the opportunity and the decisions he needs to improve before the regular season.
