Bulls bring Peter Suder and Houston Mallette to camp on Exhibit 10 deals
The two undrafted guards are on Chicago’s roster ahead of preseason, with any regular-season or two-way role still to be earned.

The Bulls have added two undrafted guards to their camp roster. Chicago's NBA.com team page now lists Peter Suder and Houston Mallette as signed on September 21. RealGM reported Wednesday that both joined on non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deals. Those contracts give them a chance to compete in camp; neither has been awarded a regular-season roster or two-way place.
Suder comes from Miami (Ohio), where his senior season offered a mix of scoring and playmaking. The university lists him at 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game, with 42.1 percent shooting from three. He earned All-MAC First Team honors. RealGM says he signed a two-way deal with the Lakers in July before Los Angeles waived him later that month. Chicago's camp gives the 6-foot-5 guard another route into the league.
Mallette took a different path, playing at Pepperdine before finishing at Alabama. The Crimson Tide lists him at 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in 2025-26, when he played in all 35 games and started 12. His earlier Pepperdine production shows more of his shooting background: Alabama's bio says he averaged 14.7 points and hit 42 percent of his threes in 2024. That history is useful context, though a college shooting line alone cannot settle how he will fare against NBA defenses.

The timing gives both guards a short runway. NBA.com's Bulls schedule lists the first preseason game against Phoenix for October 7, followed by Memphis on October 9. The team has established ballhandlers on its roster, including Josh Giddey, Tre Jones and Rob Dillingham, so Suder and Mallette will have to make their cases in practice and preseason minutes. RealGM reports that they are expected to compete for an open two-way spot and could also join the Windy City Bulls. That is a reported possibility, not a roster decision by the club.
For Chicago, the signings add two college-tested guards with different strengths before camp begins. Suder's senior year provides a clear playmaking record; Mallette brings experience as a shooter and rebounder. The next meaningful evidence will be how the Bulls use them when camp and preseason games start. Until then, the official roster confirms the additions and the non-guaranteed terms define the limits of their current opportunity.
