Where Conley can help Boston's backcourt
The veteran's value may show up in shorter stretches, not a heavier workload.

Mike Conley joined Boston this offseason, as confirmed in the NBA transaction tracker. The next question is how Joe Mazzulla uses him alongside Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.
In John Karalis' August player preview, Brad Stevens describes a veteran who understands his role and can contribute without playing every minute. Karalis sees opportunities for Conley to provide steady ballhandling in selected stretches and when other guards sit.
NBC Sports Boston's Chris Forsberg similarly points to backup minutes and low-turnover play, while identifying Conley's three-point shooting as something to watch. Those are useful camp questions: how he shares the floor with the other guards, and whether his shot makes opponents respect him off the ball.
