  • The Bears' Week 2 opponent entered Friday with unresolved questions of its own. Minnesota's official injury report listed quarterback Kyler Murray in concussion protocol, while the Vikings placed running back Jordan Mason on injured reserve with a thumb injury.

The Vikings also listed linebacker Blake Cashman, outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel and tackle Brian O'Neill on the report. The team's Thursday table showed Cashman and Van Ginkel limited, O'Neill did not practice, and receiver Jauan Jennings missed practice for a personal reason.

Minnesota's report also confirms the shape of Chicago's challenge. The Bears ran for 291 yards and six touchdowns in their opener, with D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai both carrying injuries into the week. Chicago's own Friday participation and game designations were still blank at the morning check, so the matchup remains a two-sided availability story.
