The Bears will have both of their top running backs available for Sunday's NFC North game against Minnesota. D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai practiced fully Friday and entered the weekend without a Week 2 injury designation, according to NBC Sports.
Swift had been limited by ankle and knee issues, while Monangai was managing a hamstring injury. Both had remained limited earlier in the week after combining for a major share of Chicago’s rushing production in the 59–37 season-opening win over Carolina.
The final clearance gives Ben Johnson the same two-back option that powered the opener. It also keeps Chicago’s run game intact as the Bears prepare for a Vikings defense facing Caleb Williams and an offense that produced 552 total yards in Week 1.

CBS Sports’ Week 2 preview frames the matchup around that Chicago ground attack and Minnesota’s quarterback change. Carson Wentz is expected to start for the Vikings after Kyler Murray entered concussion protocol, giving the Bears a different pocket and decision-making test than the one they prepared for in the opener.
The Bears host Minnesota Sunday at noon Central. Friday’s report listed every active Chicago player as a full participant with no game designation; the remaining question is how Johnson distributes the backfield work once the game begins.
